From Star Wars to Frozen to Armageddon, to The Titanic to The Martian. An entertaining and enlightening review of all the science that our favorite movies got wrong, combined with some of the stuff they got right. Incorporates the latest films as well as some classics that you may not have known had any science in them at all.
VIP tickets include a post-show Q&A. Immediately after the show, please stay in your seats and Dr. Tyson will come back out on stage and field 30 minutes of questions. A professional photographer will be on site to take photos of the experience. Photos will be available for patron download after the event. Upon exiting the theater, VIP patrons will receive a signed poster.
Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson is an American astrophysicist, planetary scientist, author and science communicator. Tyson studied at Harvard University, the University of Texas at Austin and Columbia University. In 1994, he joined the Hayden Planetarium as a staff scientist and the Princeton faculty as a visiting research scientist and lecturer. Since 1996, he has been the director of the Hayden Planetarium at the Rose Center for Earth and Space in New York City. The center is part of the American Museum of Natural History, where Tyson founded the Department of Astrophysics in 1997 and has been a research associate in the department since 2003.
